For its 14th edition, the CogSIMA conference series will further broaden its international scope and will intensify its relations with the Canadian Information Fusion and Artificial Intelligence research communities, by taking place in Canada's second largest city, Montréal. Being a home to four universities (two anglophone and two francophone) and numerous AI/ML research centres, including Mila led by Yoshua Bengio, Montréal is a well-known tourist destination on Canada's east coast, rich in francophone charms and surrounded by several national parks, which will provide an attractive conference location for CogSIMA 2024.
During the conference dates in mid-May, Montréal is usually in spring bloom, with mild temperatures, allowing easy and pleasant walking to and through the McGill campus.
For CogSIMA's international audience Montréal is a destination that can easily be reached from any major city by a direct flight to its Montréal-Trudeau International Airport.
The conference will be hosted by McGill University, providing an ample opportunity for interaction with the local research community. Consistently ranking among the Top 3 universities in Canada and the Top 0.2 % of universities worldwide, McGill, which was founded in 1821, nowadays has a population of more than 39 000 students where 30% of the student body are international students.
