Welcome from the Program Chairs

On behalf of the entire Technical Program Committee, it is our great pleasure to welcome you to Sheffield and the tenth IEEE Sensor Array and Multichannel Signal Processing Workshop!

This year, we have received 170 submissions from 30 countries, of which 80 submissions are from open calls. In addition, 88 papers are contributed to 16 special sessions that cover key and emerging topics. The submissions also include 2 papers that were published in the IEEE Signal Processing Letters in the past year.

We would like to acknowledge and thank 147 Technical Program Committee members and 170 reviewers from around the world who collectively provided at least 3 reviews for each paper within a very tight time frame. The impressive technical program resulted from the review process comprises 134 papers, with 59 assigned to lecture sessions and 75 to be presented as posters. The acceptance rate for papers from the open call is 55%.

The SAM workshop will start with four tutorials held on Sunday, July 8. The tutorials are included in the conference registration fee. The five plenary presentations will start the program every morning and afternoon between Monday, July 9 and Wednesday, July 11, except Tuesday, July 10, afternoon which is reserved for the visit to the charming Chatsworth House and Gardens, followed by the banquet. We are delighted to have five exceptional plenary speakers, Prof. Walter Kellermann (University Erlangen-Nuremberg), Prof. Michael Elad (Israel Institute of Technology), Prof. Zhiquan Luo (University of Minnesota), Prof. Alle-Jan van der Veen (Delft University of Technology), and Prof. Jian Li (University of Florida).

Our special thanks go to Dr. Hing Cheung So, the Special Session Chair, and Dr. Lei Zhang, the Publications and Registration Chair. We also express our thanks to the organizers of the 16 special sessions.

Three student paper awards were carefully selected from accepted papers whose primary authors are students. We thank the Student Paper Awards Committee, consisting of Dr. Christoph Mecklenbräuker (chair), Dr. Christine Evers, and Dr. Jill Nelson, for the hard work in selecting the top student papers from 81 qualified papers.

Finally, a special thank you to all of the authors and presenters that make this workshop possible. We hope that you enjoy the technical program and your time in Sheffield!
