Workshops

CogSIMA 2020 is now soliciting proposals for workshops to be co-located with its main conference. CogSIMA workshops will provide a meeting for presenting novel ideas in a less formal venue that focuses on specific topics relevant to the wide areas of interest to CogSIMA. The aim of the workshops are to stimulate and facilitate active exchange, interaction, and comparison of approaches, methods, and ideas. To motivate the discussion and participation of all the workshop attendants, we encourage organizers to get away from the typical "mini-conference" format of a workshop, and include more discussion sessions, panels, etc. See the short instructions for the 2 page proposal below:

  • Workshop proposal submission deadline: October 15, 2019
  • Workshop acceptance notification: November 1, 2019
  • Workshop call for papers online (at the latest): November 15, 2019
  • Workshop Papers (if to be published with CogSIMA Proceedings) deadline: January 1, 2020
  • Workshop Papers acceptance notification: February 4, 2020
  • Workshops Papers Camera Ready due: March 6, 2020

Apr 10: Responding to the COVID-19 pandemic, CogSIMA 2020 will be held as a completely Virtual Conference.

June 26: Keynote schedule updated.
June 24: Tutorial schedule updated.
June 11: Dr. Alicia Ruvinsky, Dr. Cody Salter and Mr. Trent May (USACE ERDC) will instruct a tutorial on Human-AI Teaming.
June 8: We are pleased to announce that Daniel Serfaty (Founder & CEO Aptima, Inc.) will present a keynote address on Human Performance Engineering in the Age of AI.
June 8: CogSIMA 10th Anniverary Panel (Aug. 27) announced.
June 8: Tentative program of the main conference available.
May 25: Tutorial program updated.
May 23: Program update: Tutorials are scheduled for August 22-23, Workshops for August 28-29.
