Welcome from the Technical Program Chair

Welcome from the Technical Program Chair

Welcome to the 16th edition of the IEEE International Conference on RFID.

This year, 27 papers, 3 keynotes, and 16 posters will be presented worldwide through a hybrid conference format that will host participants in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA and online. The combination of new ideas and technical results brought by authors, workshop organizers and speakers are a clear indication, once more, of the evolving nature of the RFID technology and its multidisciplinary applications. This year we are happy to report multiple submissions across all tracks with MoCap and Localization, Circuits, Devices & Interrogators and Protocols & Security maintaining their popularity of 22, 15 and 15% respectively of all submissions.

This year we merged a number of existing tracks from previous years and were delighted with the popularity of several new tracks including Digital Spectrum Twinning and AI for RFID which accounted for 11% of overall accepted submissions. All these new and evolving fields are a testament of the important novel and essential work being conducted by our international research community ensuring RFID technology remains at the frontier of cutting-edge emerging technologies.

The IEEE International Conference on RFID can boast the contribution of 49 esteemed Technical Program Committee Members directly involved in all the fields characterizing RFID technology. We extend our most sincere gratitude to all of them. Their hidden and never-enough acknowledged work behind the scenes is an essential component of this event. Every submitted paper has been reviewed by three members of the Technical Program Committee constituting a total of 134 reviews which is an essential element in ensuring the high technical standards of the event are maintained. This rigorous review process also provides invaluable feedback to the authors upon which to enrich and improve their research and inform future ideas, expanding the RFID knowledge base across our international community.

The table below lists the total submissions in each track over a ten year period.
