Welcome you to the workshop on Quantum Communications and Information Technology (QCIT'18) at IEEE GlobeCom 2018 in Abu Dhabi. This forth workshop organized by ComSoc's emerging technical committee on quantum communications and information technology brings together researchers from all over the world to discuss the latest advances in communications and information related quantum technology.

The technical program of QCIT'18 consists of a keynote and three paper presentation sessions.

QCIT'18 received 44 paper submissions from 23 countries, out of which 16 papers have been accepted - corresponding to an acceptance rate of 36%. All papers have undergone a rigorous review process - every manuscript was reviewed by at least 3 experts.

We would like to especially thank the members of the technical program committee and the external reviewers for their dedication. Without their help, this second workshop on QCIT would not be possible. We would also like to thank the keynote speaker for contributing this important part of the program. Last, but not least, our sincere thanks to the workshop chairs, Jaafar Elmirghani and Kumudu Munasinghe, and the technical program chair, Abbas Jamalipour, for their strong support and continuous help.
