Welcome from the General Chairs

On behalf of the organizing committee, we are pleased to welcome you to the [http://www.conference.iet.unipi.it/camsap11/|Fourth International Workshop on Computational Advances in Multi-Sensor Adaptive Processing (CAMSAP)] in San Juan, [http://www.seepuertorico.com/the_islands|Puerto Rico]. This workshop will consist of 11 invited and 8 contributed technical sessions, as well as 6 plenary talks by the world’s leading researchers. We will also hold a Special Session in honor of the late Alex Gershman, a founder of the CAMSAP workshop series.

We have been greatly helped by a superb team of colleagues, including many of you, who have been tirelessly working to make this workshop a success. We thank Lee Swindlehurst and Sergiy Vorobyov for preparing a first-rate technical program and organizing a student paper competition. The student paper competition and generous financial support of the [http://www.onr.navy.mil|U.S. Office of Naval Research] (which sponsored student travel grants and lower student registration fees) have facilitated an increased student participation in this CAMSAP.

Many thanks to Dominic Ho for handling the finances, and to Luis Vicente and Juan Arratia for the local arrangements. We are particularly grateful to all the authors, plenary speakers, session organizers, and reviewers for their contributions.

Please take some time to take the biobay kayaking trip or visit the nearby Old San Juan and its [http://www.nps.gov/saju/index.htm|historical monuments], [http://www.naic.edu|the Arecibo Observatory], or [http://www.seepuertorico.com/playing-here|other Puerto Rico's attractions]. We hope that you will enjoy CAMSAP 2011 and this unique environment.
