Welcome to IEEE SoutheastCon 2026

Welcome to IEEE SoutheastCon 2026

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we are delighted to welcome you to IEEE SoutheastCon 2026, hosted in Huntsville, Alabama. This year's conference reflects the continued strength, growth, and impact of our Region 3 technical community, and we are honored to host you in one of the nation's leading centers for engineering, aerospace, and advanced technology.

IEEE SoutheastCon remains a flagship conference of IEEE Region 3, bringing together researchers, industry professionals, students, and volunteers to share innovations, exchange ideas, and strengthen professional connections across the Southeast and beyond. This year, we are especially proud to welcome authors representing 40 countries across the globe, underscoring the truly international reach and impact of our community.

The 2026 technical program has reached a record scale. We received 826 submitted papers, of which 481 were accepted, resulting in a 64.0% acceptance rate. The accepted papers span 9 technical tracks and a dedicated poster session, reflecting the breadth of research and innovation across electrical engineering, computer engineering, and related disciplines.

IEEE SoutheastCon 2026 will be held in two formats: • Virtual Conference: March 6-9, 2026 • In-Person Conference: March 13-15, 2026

The hybrid structure enables broad participation while preserving the invaluable face-to-face interactions that strengthen collaboration and professional growth.

Our technical program showcases high-quality peer-reviewed research, engaging presentations, and opportunities for discussion across diverse topic areas. In addition to the technical sessions, SoutheastCon continues its tradition of supporting students, fostering volunteer engagement, and strengthening ties between academia and industry.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the Technical Program Committee, track chairs, reviewers, organizers, sponsors, volunteers, and all authors and presenters whose dedication makes this conference possible. Most importantly, we thank you - our participants - for your contributions and engagement. We hope IEEE SoutheastCon 2026 provides you with meaningful technical insights, valuable networking opportunities, and an enjoyable and memorable conference experience.

We look forward to your participation.
