Welcome
Welcome to MICC2021!
Assalamualaikum Warrahmatullahi Wabarakatuh
May us take this opportunity as the General Co-Chair to welcome all of you to the 15th IEEE Malaysia International Conference on Communications 2021 (MICC2021). On behalf of IEEE Malaysia Communication Society and Vehicular Technology Society Joint Chapter (MyComVT), we are proud to organize MICC2021 through Virtual Conference on December 1-2, 2021. The conference is co-organized by Multimedia University (MMU) and Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM).
The digital tsunami continues to have an outsized impact on the global population and has transformed the lifestyles of the majority of communities worldwide. The internet of things, artificial intelligence and big data analytics are all examples of advanced technologies that have altered the global economy and modern society's way of life. The role of digital technology is clear, particularly after the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic a year ago, which created tremendously, challenges to all countries to maintain business as normal. It has never been more obvious that technology is a useful instrument for advancement in the best of times and a necessary tool for survival in the worst of circumstances.
The capacity to seize possibilities created by breakthrough technology and business models is critical in igniting new engines of economic growth in the country. This year's theme is "Emerging Technologies in IoT and 5G" is in line with the release of MyDIGITAL initiative through the Malaysia Digital Economy Blueprint. As Malaysia has started to implement 5G nationwide there is a need for researchers in the country to keep working on issues relating to IoT and 5G in making sure that the technology will bring benefits to the people, especially to generate more job opportunities, increase the quality of life, and expand the economic capability to create more innovations in product and services. This is the opportunity for researchers to engage with the local communities right from the beginning of our research projects, to make sure the projects will benefit society. With the challenge of limited resources in the face of the current economic scenario, researchers should collaborate more, to increase synergy and optimize resources available to us.
We would like to thank all the invited speakers, presenters, authors, co-authors and reviewers for your commitment and contribution to our conference. Our deepest appreciation also to all the keynote speakers and forum panellists. We hope all participants could take this opportunity to gain knowledge in their respective areas and pave the way for future research in the field of IoT, 5G and communication.
Embracing all these challenges, let us have fun and embrace technologies in IoT, 5G and beyond!
Wassalam

We are honoured and delighted to welcome you all to the 15th IEEE Malaysia International Conference on Communications 2021 (MICC2021). First and foremost, allow me to congratulate the organizers of MICC2021, IEEE Malaysia Communication Society and Vehicular Technology Society Joint Chapter (MyComVT), Multimedia University (MMU) and Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) for hosting this successful international event. On behalf of IEEE Malaysia, we would like to thank all of you for attending this premier event. We would also like to take this opportunity to welcome the official delegates, guests of honour, academicians, researchers, lecturers, students, senior government officials, business leaders, who are present at today's ceremony.
The series of IEEE ComSocVT Conferences, aimed at reinforcing scientific and technological collaboration between the universities, industry, government and research institutes, is known for providing state of the art information on current and future research activities, strategies and projects from around the globe with presentations from a variety of international speakers and researchers. Malaysia International Conference on Communications (MICC) is a flagship conference of IEEE Malaysia Communication Society & Vehicular Technology Society Joint Chapter. The first MICC was successfully held in the year 1993 at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 12th MICC2015 in Kuching, Sarawak and 13th MICC2017 in Johor Bahru, Johor. Today, MICC2021 is held virtually on the Airmeet platform. Despite the pandemic, with technology, we can still run this event successfully. Congratulations!
We are pleased to inform you that our MICC2019 conference has received more than 20 papers from around the globe in various fields of communication such as antennas, propagation and RF design, optical communications, advances in the 5G communications and others. With the theme "Emerging Technologies in IoT and 5G", we hope that researchers, scientists and industrially relevant could explore, cooperate, promote, and gain motivation to achieve societal sustainability goals.
All accepted papers will be published in the MICC2021 conference proceeding and will be submitted to IEEE Xplore for publication consideration.
The intention of IEEE ComsocVT remains to become a fully-fledged chapter investigating the latest various fields in communication and electronics of engineering. ComsocVT Chapter is a technical sub-unit of IEEE Malaysia Section, founded in the year 1993 and the second largest group within the section technical societies in Malaysia. The Chapters provide the local link to the valuable resources available from the IEEE ComSocVT. Our chapter has outstanding engineering programs that feed the engineering community of Malaysia and provide the society members with valuable opportunities to network globally.
We would like to convey my sincere gratitude to the committee members of MICC2021 for their commitment and enormous effort in organizing this conference. Our deepest appreciation also goes to the supporters, International Advisory Committee, Keynote Speakers, reviewers and sponsors from all over the world for their support towards this conference.
