Welcome to the 20th edition of the IEEE International Conference on RFID! We are delighted to celebrate this special 20th-anniversary milestone with you!
This year, 43 contributed papers, 4 keynotes, 4 workshops, and 7 posters will be presented to an international audience of knowledge leaders hosted participants in Santa Fe, NM, USA, June 16th to 18th, 2026. For two decades, IEEE RFID has brought together a multidisciplinary community to advance RFID technology. The contributions from authors, workshop organizers, and speakers once again reflect the evolving nature of this technology and its broad range of applications. This year the conference location and Platinum sponsor - Los Alamos National Laboratory have resulted in a key interest in RFID for high consequence environments.
The IEEE International Conference on RFID can boast the contribution of 82 esteemed Technical Program Committee Members directly involved in all the fields characterizing RFID technology. We extend our most sincere gratitude to all of them. Their hidden and underappreciated effort behind the scenes is an essential component of this event. Every submitted paper has been reviewed by at least two members of the Technical Program Committee which is an essential element towards ensuring the high technical standards of the event are maintained. This rigorous review process also provides invaluable feedback to the authors upon which to enrich and improve their research and inform future ideas, expanding the RFID knowledge base across our international community. In addition, this year we offered a dual-track submission option through the IEEE Journal of RFID special issue, "Selected Papers from the 2026 IEEE International Conference on RFID," as part of the 20th-anniversary edition of the IEEE RFID Conference. We sincerely thank the IEEE Journal of RFID editorial board and reviewers for their effort and contributions to this process.
Finally, thank you to all our authors, workshop organizers, special session organisers, speakers, TPC co-chairs, TPC and Organizing Committee members and patrons.
