Joint meeting of IEEE Serbia & Montenegro Section - Consumer Technology Society Chapter and Intelligent Transportation Systems Society Chapter. All current and aspiring chapter members are welcome.
This year we have an early opening and warm-up event in the cozy, less-formal atmosphere. During this event we will have several cocktail address presentations:
We will also enjoy some drinks and cookies.
We are witnessing significant shifts in the automotive industry and intelligent transportation paradigms. Vehicle design is ever more complex, with software taking a defining role. On the other hand, the proliferation of e-mobility and various smart-city concepts makes the ecosystem very demanding. In this panel, our guests discuss the trends and give outlooks in the automotive and transportation arena, from the standpoints of participating industry and academic research.
This session is held as a part of the "TTTech Technology Day" subconference, and requires a special per-invitation ticket. More information is available at the registration desk.

In this workshop, participants will learn the basics of computer vision and robotics by solving a maze with their own heuristic algorithm.
Please sign up for this workshop at the registration desk!
Participants will use OpenCV, Arduino, and Raspberry Pi to create a maze recognition and ball position tracking system, and they will implement their own maze-solving algorithm. They will learn how to tilt the maze and guide the ball from the start to the finish. Participants will be introduced to the fundamental concepts of computer vision and image processing, as well as the basics of robotics. Participants will work individually and program in Python using a set of Lego bricks and electronic components including Arduino and Raspberry Pi, camera, and servo motors. Main goal is to learn how to configure the camera and develop an image processing pipeline to detect and track the ball and the maze. Finally, participants will test their skills using a physical maze rig, making adjustments and refining their algorithms as needed.

The new frontline in next-generation vehicles is tied to the concept of Software-Defined Vehicles (SDVs). One or several domain controllers handle the complete set of functionalities, including powertrain control, battery management, assisted driving, infotainment, and more. In this panel, we are contrasting actual approaches in complex software designs in vehicles coming from the industry and academia, and try to understand the trends and challenges for the future developments and aspiring suppliers. We are also challenging the robustness of such stacks against failures and discuss fault tolerance and functional safety mechanisms which should be built in.
