Indoor Localization System Based on Passive RFID Tags

In this paper, we present a low - cost localization system using technology RFID and passive tags in indoor environments. It can be used to locate objects or people in a building. The signal power distribution, propagation conditions and environmental factors that are major theories will be entered into details. Landmark reference tag grid, the Reader and Antenna Thingmagic are designed in our system. The tag RSSI (Receiver Signal Strength Indicator) is main value for our improved K nearest neighbor algorithm. Path Loss models for an indoor environment are also analyzed and presented. An error map and accuracy of reference positions is constructed through the Path Loss model for helping chose corresponding K reference positions.
