What a wonderful experience to cruise underwater by 3 meters depth on board of its own twin submarine, and thus in full safety! This unique submarine in the world, called "Sub Scooter" reminds us of either a James Bond movie or the famous cartoon of Tintin and Milou.

After being equipped with a diving suit, you will have a brief of 15 minutes about the easy control of the sub scooter and the safety guidelines to be observed.

The riders sit one behind the other as on a scooter, with their head covered by a transparent dome providing a panoramic view of the reef and all the important air to breathe naturally, without the need of a regulator in the mouth. Riders can therefore express their instant delight to each other underwater. A dive will take about 30 minutes, led and supervised by two qualified dive guides. On your return, a changing room equipped with showers and lockers will be available on board.

Experience the thrill of Big Game fishing with the island’s most experienced skippers.

Begin the day with a visit of a ship model factory. You will have the possibility to see craft men at work, admire or even buy finished products.

On your way to Curepipe, stop a few minutes at Trou aux Cerfs, the crater of an extinct volcano to admire the panoramic view on the West and Northwest part of Mauritius.

Curepipe, once a stop for stagecoaches, has grown into a residential town with many shopping malls. Before reaching Curepipe, discover Floréal, a shopping heaven, where there are duty free shops with attractive prices for diamonds, knitwear, clothing, ship models, etc.

After shopping in Curepipe in the souvenirs shops, travel through the protected forests of Macchabée. It contain interesting specimens of indigenous timber, namely Bois de Natte, Colophane, Ebony, Takamaka, as well as fine plants, peculiar to the island, such as the Trochetia, the national flower of Mauritius.

Grand Bassin is a natural lake created by an accumulation of water in the crater of an extinct volcano. It is a holy place for the Hindu community and once a year, for the Mahashivaratree festival (Shiva’s Day), thousands of pilgrims go there.

It is a famous and fascinating lake in the middle of a secluded mountain, deep in the heart of Mauritius. It lies about 700 metres above sea level and is surrounded by natural scenery of breathtaking beauty. At Plaines Champagne, admire the Black River Gorges, an ideal sanctuary for the fauna and flora of the island.

To end the day, a visit of the seven-coloured earths of Chamarel is a must. This exceptional spot is a natural curiosity of volcanic origin.

This excursion allows you to discover the way of living of the rainbow nation of Mauritius and one of the most beautiful gardens of the world: The Pamplemousses Garden.

The day starts with a nice walk in this 25 acres garden, which consists of 500 different species of plants and spectacular flowers. The most interesting ones are the giant water lilies, the spice garden and the Talipot palm tree, which blooms when it reaches sixty years of age before dying. You will also see the giant Aldabras tortoises.

Proceed to the Sugar Museum in Beau Plan. At the heart of a real sugar factory entirely restored, you will discover a modern and spectacular presentation of the history of sugar and Mauritius against a background of original equipment and huge mill wheels.

Take the direction of Port Louis, the capital city with its fascinating cultural diversity where one can see cathedrals, pagodas, mosques and Hindu temples. Discover colonial buildings, the Champ de Mars – the oldest race track of the Indian Ocean – and the famous Fort Adelaide – known as La Citadel.

A stop is scheduled at the exotic and colourful market. Then visit the Caudan Waterfront for up market shopping, craft market, cafés, food courts and its casino. The place combines Mauritian traditions and international experience.

Culture inherited from the British, tea has been adopted in the Mauritian day-to-day life. This excursion offers the possibility to visit another part of the South. Stop for one hour at the impressive colonial house “Les Aubineaux” for a visit. Tea and biscuits will be served in the charming tea pavilion.

Afterwards, visit of the Bois Cheri Tea Factory and the museum, where the different stages of tea manufacturing are explained. Ten varieties of teas are produced, to satisfy every taste. Depending on the harvest season, you may be able to see and take pictures of the workers plucking the young tealeaves in the fields in the traditional way.

Enjoy the tasting of different tea in a cottage overlooking the plantations and a small lake.

The second part of the excursion consists in discovering the beautiful colonial house of St Aubin built in 1819. This architectural jewel located in a flourishing garden recreates the set up of bygone days when residents of sugar cane factories lived peacefully in discreet luxury.

Enjoy a short visit of the vanilla plantation and the Andreanum greenhouse. Return to the hotel with many a memory of this enchanting escape.

This outing will take you to the South and Mahébourg, an area rich in historical landmarks. Deep in the heart of a small authentic suburb of Mahébourg, discover the Naval Museum. A visit to this museum reveals the richness of the historical past of the village where it relates to the fierce battles between the French and English fleets.

Then proceed to Pointe d’Esny to go to Ile aux Aigrettes by boat. It is the last refuge of the Ebony forest, endemic animals & plant species. You will come across lively and colorful ornate day geckos basking in the sun; beautiful and rare Pink Pigeons, a distant cousin of the dodo, gazing down at you from above; or perhaps the very rare Mauritius Fody flying from branch to branch of the native Bois de Boeuf, Bois Chandelle, or Pipe wood.

Finish the day by visiting La Vanille Reserve des Mascareignes. This park homes giant tortoises, reptiles, crocodiles and an impressive collection of butterflies and insects.
